Let's Have A Drink!

Hello friends! Today I'd like to share an Appletini with you. *wink* I colored this image last week and just wasn't inspired by any papers in my stash, so I set it aside. Yesterday, as I was eyeing up my design team goodies from The Beary Scrap I had an "Ah ha!" moment. This sassy image pops on my fab new Basic Grey Origins paper.
I put my own spin on the "priscillastyles" Midnight Madness sketch:

I just couldn't make the angled panels work, though - too distracting to my eye. The beads are of my own making. The bottom ones dangle and swish back and forth a bit. Here's a closer look:

I used black Stickles on her dress and Glossy Accents on the glass and her lips. Oh, and that deliciously wide lace is from Grandma's stash. Thanks Grandma!

Challenges
Midnight Madness #42 - Sketch
Cuttlebug Challenges - Stitch It!
Stamp With Fun #47 - Stitch
Corrosive #51 - Sew It Up!
Fussy and Fancy #4 - Dazzle Us!

Recipe
Stamp: Sassy Studio Designs - Cosmopolitan
Paper: Basic Grey Origins, assorted Bazzill
Medium: Copics for skin, Prismacolor pencils, Stickles, Glossy Accents, Colorbox Chalk Ink on the edges
Embellishments: My handmade baubles, brads and Grandma's lace (wow... that's it?)

Thanks for stopping in! I'd love to hear your thoughts about this project.

Don't forget we're *this* close to the official launch of The Beary Scrap Design Team Blog! Join us Monday, March 1 for kickoff blog candy, our weekly theme announcement and our first DT project post by the oh-so-talented Gini Cagle (Beadz). Whoo hoo!

This is stunning! I popped over to thank you for the comment you left on my venting post, since i am fairly new to blog world it was doing my head in that one puts so much effort into their blog and gets very little recognition, not that we need any, but it is nice to know that someone out there is peeking at our little creations and actually enjoys checking out the little crafty things we do.
Your blog is great i intend to be coming back again soon.

Sexy card! I luv the beads. Where did you purchase the thing in between the brad and the beads and what is it called?

Everyone, thanks so much for your really kind comments! I'm slowly but surely visiting everyone. :)

Lori, the beads are hung on 2 jump rings - one under the brad and attached to the first. The tightly wound springy-looking thing (with little loop) directly above the beads is hand-made by me.

Jump rings can be found at any craft store. :)

Cheers!
