Halloween Witches Greeting Card, Not Your Average Tea Party!

I adore this party of 4 witches in their hats... discussing spells... who to hex next. You know, the normal topics of conversation at tea parties!

The witchy women are a digitally printed vintage image. All the designer papers are from The My Mind's Eye "Wicked" pad. The ticket is a Tim Holtz stamp and the flowers are a combination of Dusty Attic, Prima, Petaloo, and Wild Orchid. The rhinestones are Prima, I think. They are old enough that I had to add extra adhesive to keep them down.

This card is available for purchase via my Etsy paper shop. Thanks for visiting!

It's Halloween! Let's Go Costume Crazy!

Boo!
Eek!

What's your Halloween costume this year? I think I'll dress as a roller derby girl. I'm still working that one out... If not, I'll go as a witch. I colored my hair auburn red recently and it will fit in with both personas!

This card is all about My Mind's Eye Lost And Found Halloween. Did you buy tons of it when it came out? I love it so much I did exactly that!

On the inside

It comes with a coordinating gift box, too!

This card is available for purchase, either in-person at the Sept 18th "3rd Friday" festival in Salisbury, MD or via my Etsy paper shop after the festival. If you are interested now, please let me know! Thanks for visiting!

Susan

Halloween Skeleton Salesman Greeting Card, Vintage Antikamnia Image, My Mind's Eye

Hello! As I was looking through my Halloween paper stash, I found an unused 6x6 pad of My Mind's Eye "Wicked" paper line. How did I ever miss this one?! I don't know what year it came out, but I do know it's great.

The skellie salesman is a digital print from an old Antikamnia Chemical Company. They sold the products that would "cure what ails ya"... until they were shut down in 1914. Oops.

The salesman is layered... you might think he's walking right off the card!

This card is available for purchase, either in-person at the Sept 18th "3rd Friday" festival in Salisbury, MD or via my Etsy paper shop after the festival. If you are interested now, please let me know! Thanks for visiting!

Vintage School Card, Graphic 45 "An ABC Primer"

Hello hello! I know I said I was done with the vintage school cards... I have one more that didn't go with that design theme. I love how this came out. When I first saw the paper I wasn't sure how I would work this larger scene out. I think this turned out quite well!

Thank you for taking the time to visit today. If you have an questions about my construction methods please feel free to comment or email. I love to share!

Beach Album And Keepsake Box, Graphic 45 "On The Boardwalk"

Hello beach bums! Ok, maybe not all of you are beach bums... I'm not either. Even though I'm 30 minutes from the ocean, this pale face skips the beach during the summer. I don't look --or feel-- good in a bright red skin tone. :P

I have a vintage beach themed accordion album and keepsake box to share with you. It's made from Graphic 45's "On The Boardwalk" papers and a G45 Staples box.

Click the photos for a larger view. I love this box. Teal excites me, and add touches of orange and lime and I'm vibrating! See the polka dot beach umbrella in the top left corner? It's custom made for the box.

Since the front panel has the two open frames, I tailored the inside panel to give the bathing beauty a nice background. Speaking of her, in order to keep her from getting squished or bent with handling, I roughly cut around her and glued that to a pieces of thin cardboard. Once dry I carefully cut around her with my super sharp scissors. She has stability!

Inside is an accordion-style mini album. The front is layered in my usual fashion and has a similar twirly "on the boardwalk" flag as the box front.

Here's a view of the inside panels. There are 4 pockets for printed photos and ephemera.

This was a fun project for me. I hope you like it, too! Here's a quick link to it in my Etsy paper shop.

Thank you for your visit today.  I hope your summer is starting off with a great fun bang!

Cheers,
Susan

Hiya folks! This is the final card in this Graphic 45 "An ABC Primer" series. I call it "Jolly Alphabets".

Thanks for your visit today! It's the end of the school year so if you're interested in giving this to your favorite teacher, please hop on over to Killam Creative Paper on Etsy.

As always, I'm just on the other end of your keyboard if you have questions about this card or about any construction or materials. I love to share!

My next few posts will be mostly pictures since I'm scheduling a bunch. I'm not very good at regular posts so I thought I'd try scheduling some for the time I'm away from home. At least they will post even if I forget about 'em!

Vintage School Themed Greeting Card (1 of 3), Graphic 45 "An ABC Primer"

Hello hello hello! As promised, here's the first of my G45 "An ABC Primer" trio. These cards were so much fun to make. I love the rich tones of the paper and was happy to reflect them in the flowers.

The little girl is layered above the poetry panel. Throughout is layered card stock and machine sewing. And touches of Stickles... always the glitter glue!

The inside has coordinating panels and a space for "thanks for a great year" teacher notes.

Here's the card and gift box set. Fun!

Thanks so much for your visit today. If you are interested in purchasing this one of a kind card, please visit my Etsy paper shop. I hope you get your craft on, too. As usual, I'm always around to email if you have questions.

Cheers,
Susan

Halloween In Wonderland Mini Album

Hiya creative folks!

I have a mini album to share today. I was never an Alice fan until this Graphic 45 paper line came out. Now I'm hooked!

I wanted to make another album and box set, but this baby ended up being too chunky for the box I started, so it's flying solo. (I've already started a tag album for that box - can't let it hide in a corner, can I?)

It's a wee 4" x 6" (plus rings) and can pack tons of Halloween memories in the nooks and crannies. There is fussy cut layering throughout, including Alice, the mirror and Queen here. I've used my signature beaded pins plus an assortment of flowers on the front. There are seam binding ribbons and AW-themed charms on the binder rings.

Let's take a look at the first pages. Please click the photos for larger versions and to get a good look at the details. On the left, there's a removeable clip on the tiny purple tag. This opens up the inside. The edge of a photo can be tucked under the trio of queens. Inside the flap are two mats.

The folder on the right side slides out and has space for 4 photos.

The next pages have pull-out folders and will fit 7 photos.

The same pages, with more detail shots. I like this so much I had to show you all the goodies. Can you see that the White Rabbit on the playing card as well as Tweedledee and Tweedledum are layered?

Pages 6 and 7, with six photo panels. Both the hand and rabbit are layered and sealed, which makes them quite sturdy.

"You certainly do make delicious cake!" Page 8 has two pull-out tags and page 9 has six different playing cards.

It looks like Alice is peeking around the tag! Under the "curtain" are two more removable panels for photos. The last page includes on large tag for two photos as well as 3 newspaper clippings from Wonderland.

That's it for this album! The Cheshire cat is on the back but I don't have a photo. This album is available for purchase in my "Killam Creative Paper" Etsy shop.

Thanks so much for your visit today! I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about this album. I hope it inspires you on your projects!

Cheers,
Susan

Butterfly Tag

Hello hello! I hope your day is treating you well. Like most of the US, we're suffering through another cold snap. The high temperature forecast is 21F.

Ugh.
Whine.
Whimper.

Enough of that! Here's another tag made especially for a Very Nice Lady. Perhaps it will scoop you up out of the winter doldrums and gently place you in late spring, with flowers blooming and the first few butterflys flitting about.

The butterflies are layered for a 3D effect, and have homemade antennae

And the whole tag:

Oh how I love this one!

I'm currently finishing up an Artist Trading Block Swap over on Craftster. Once it's done I'll ship to Canada and post it here after my partner receives. I can't wait to show you!

Thanks for stopping in today!

Cheers,
Susan

Birdsong Tag, Take 2

Hiya folks! (Remember me? I'm baaaack!)

Almost 3 years ago I made the Birdsong Tag. It's all over Pinterest and (hopefully) has inspired loads of crafty peeps.

Recently I received a request to buy it. While it's not for sale, I was thrilled to make an updated version for a Very Nice Lady. *waves hi to VNL*

It's a good thing I'm a hoarder I recognize quality supplies and keep them at my fingertips as long as needed. *grin* I added a cage and freshened up the flowers a bit.

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow I'll show the second tag I made for the VNL. I love it so much it was hard to ship off. :)

Cheers,
Susan
