Yay! I'm really proud to say I won the January challenges at Crafting Life's Pieces. Chelsea is an extremely talented person and I'm honored to be chosen, and even more honored to be in the great company of players who entered her weekly contests along side me.
I'm tickled to win the Winter Girl stamp (as well as all the other goodies!) and I also bought Kisses since she's so darn adorable. Thanks Chelsea - I'll be stalking the mailbox!
Cheers,
Susan

Introducing Satine
Spectacular! Spectacular!
I tried to copy the costume from the movie but had trouble making it sparkly enough. The fishnet stocking idea came from my darling DT buddy, Anita. Click on her name and you'll see her Sassy hottie.
Challenges
- Crafting Life's Pieces CLP #17: Chelsea's Fabby Sketch
- A Spoonful of Sugar #87: Lots of Layering,
- If The Shoe Fits: Advertisement Inspiration - (this is kind of funny) in the part of the movie that Satine wears this costume, she is surrounded by many choices in, uh, male suitors; but *they* only have one choice: Satine!
- Stamp: Sassy Studio Designs - Satine
- Vintage image: Shabby Chic Papirskatter
- Papers: Bazzill CS, Co'oredinations, Basic Gray
- Medium: Prismacolor pencils, Copic Spica, Micron .005, chalk ink
- Embellishments: Crochet ribbon from stash, making Memories Vintage Findings pins, Swarovski crystals on butterflies, a whopping big cubic zirconia from Grandma G's attic clean-out years ago, metal flourish from a great eBay store called Accent Factory.
I'll come back in a bit (er, maybe Monday) for more details. I've spent most of my day on this card and laundry calls. :)
Cheers!

A Sassy Valentine Release & Blog Hop
Good morning, good day and good evening, sistahs. Well, today is the day! Welcome to Sassy Studio Designs Valentine Release and Customer Blog Hop. If you came to me after Sara, you're great; if not, start at the beginning here.
All of the new Valentine digis are available right now at the Sassy store. Lindsay was really inspired by 1940's pin-ups and created a whopper of a selection for us. She's so sassy!
The Sassy Customer Blog Hop officially starts at 9am PST (Noon on the East Coast) and the first thing you need to do is start at the beginning - Here. From there you can see the fabulous creations made by our loyal and fun Sassy Sistahs (and the design team, too!). They are entered in very special Creative Sistah challenges to be voted (by the DT) the best:
Sassy Altered Sistah (create something ALTERED)
Sassy Layout Sistah (create a ROCKIN layout)
Sassy Gifted Sistah (create a SWEET gift)
Sassy Color Creating Sistah (create a SASSY color combo)
Each Sassy Sister who wins the titles above will receive 5 (yes, 5!) SSD digis.
Can you believe it?
But wait! There's more:
One sistah will be crowned "Sassiest Sistah of Them All" and will win 10 digis!
Each blog will give you the next place to visit, but before you go make sure you leave comment love on each blog and then back at the SSD blog, because one lucky commenter will also win a prize!
Now, do you feel like chatting with us? Join us at Paper Craft Planet tonight 5-8pm PST (8-11pm on the East Coast) and join in the fun. You'll get a fabulous freebie just for chatting with us. Awards will be given out for the Creative Sistah categories, and at the end of the chat we will announce the commenting winner!
Here are my takes on Bubblebath (click for bigger):
(Scroll down a few posts to see my Cupid cards)
Thanks for stopping by, and please leave love for all the blog hoppers so you are eligible for the commenter prize!
Cheers!
You are at "Susan" and now hop on over to Val.
Cheers!

So Refreshing!
Hello and welcome! I'm oddly awake this morning. I went to bed at a decent time last night, perhaps that helps. :) Today I'm going to show you a card made with Sassy Studio Designs "Sweet Freckled Lemonade Lindsay". Designer Lindsay has a great selection of images available, and as I was shopping I thought this image was cute, but too "country" for me. I stopped myself and decided to step out of my box for a bit and give her a try. Boy am I happy about that! The more I colored, the more I loved. Really! It's hard to pick favorites, but this little darlin' is right up at the top. Yay for trying something new!
Speaking of new adventures, if you would like to see how I layer my images in Photoshop Elements, hop on over to Studio Sunday and break out of *your* box today! If you give it a try and link up with Mr Linky, you'll get a free image! How cool is *that*?
Now for some details:
Paper: Bazzill red and yellow card stock, DCWV Berry Street Farmers Market floral cs
Flowers: Prima
Medium: Prismacolor pencils blended with odorless mineral spirits, Glossy Accents, chalk ink around the edges, Tim Holtz alcohol ink on the big white flower edges and pearl accent pins.

Take Your Medicine
Hello! So, I've been working on Super Top Secret New Release stuff and tutorial stuff so I don't have any new paper goodies to share yet. I'll sneak you a peek on Saturday, and put up a new card that corresponds with a "3D Sassy" Studio Sunday Tutorial on, well, Sunday. *wink*
Right now, I thought I'd share a photo to remind those of us in the throes of Winter that Spring is right around the corner. They say a dose of echinacea can reduce cold symptoms, so here's your virtual medicine:
